Integrasi Manajemen dan Pengetahuan Kewarganegaraan dalam Penguatan Sistem Manajemen Pertahanan Negara

National defense challenges stem not only from military threats but also from non-military threats such as disinformation, radicalism, cyberattacks, and social conflicts, requiring the involvement of all components of the nation. Civic knowledge is a crucial factor in building national defense awareness and citizen participation in supporting the national defense system. This study aims to analyze the integration of management and civic knowledge in strengthening the national defense management system. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through literature studies, document analysis, and various scientific sources relevant to the concepts of management, civic knowledge, and national defense management. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results show that the integration of management functions including planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring with civic knowledge can strengthen the national defense management system by increasing national defense awareness, community participation, and strengthening national resilience. Civic knowledge acts as social capital that supports the formation of citizens who have responsibility for national security and sovereignty. Furthermore, this integration results in a more inclusive, participatory, and adaptive defense approach in facing various multidimensional threats. Thus, strengthening the national defense management system requires synergy between effective organizational governance and increased civic knowledge among the public as part of the implementation of the Universal Defense System in Indonesia.
